
Khaled Al-Sharif, a Saudi nursing staff, who succumbed to coronavirus on Sunday, May 17.
Al-Sharif was one of the Saudi health practitioners who are on the frontlines of coronavirus response working tirelessly round the clock to treat people infected with the pandemic in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Khaled Al-Sharif, who was working at King Abdulaziz Hospital, developed symptoms of coronavirus late in Shaban and therefore he remained in quarantine at home. When the symptoms of the disease intensified, he was tested positive and admitted to hospital.
Two days before Ramadan, he was moved to intensive care unit where he breathed his last on Sunday, May 17, 2020.
The tragic death news of the young Saudi health hero drew a lot of attention on social media with condolences pouring in from a large number of people.
Saudis from different regions of the Kingdom participated in mourning, they praying for his mercy and patience for his family.
