As we all know the gov’t of Saudi Arabia has imposed curfew all across the country. the curfew start from 3:00 p.m until 6:00 a.m in all the cities (Jeddah, Qatif, Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah) of Saudi Arabia.
During the curfew time we cannot get out of our homes, so a question arises on how to go out in an emergency?
For this the Saudi Red Crescent has explained the process for us.
*In case of an emergency in which you require an ambulance, you need to call 997 and the ambulance will be at your doorstep within a short time.
*However, in those cases of emergency where you don’t need an ambulance, you are still required to call 997 to seek permission from the Saudi Red Crescent to get out of the home.
The Saudi Red Crescent will assess the situation and if required will allow you to go to a the hospital by sending an SMS.
But keep in mind, no matter whatever the emergency situation is, if you going out of your home without this permission, is a violation of the curfew orders which is punishable with a fine of SR 10,000 per person.
