Riyadh first in list 282 ; Saudi Arabia records 1,344 new coronavirus cases

Saudi Arabia recorded on May 1, Friday 1,344 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 24,097, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also said that 7 more people have succumbed to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths in the country to 169. Meanwhile 392 patients have recovered, bringing the total of recoveries in the country to 3,555.

Riyadh with 282 cases continues to be on top of the list, followed by 237 cases in Madinah, 207 in Makkah, 171 in Jubail, 124 in Jeddah and 114 in Dammam. There were 37 cases in Baish, 33 in Khobar, 27 in Taif, 14 in Diriyah, 12 cases each were found in Buraida and Hufof.
