Saudi Arabia announced 4,919 new cases of the novel coronavirus infections during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the Kingdom to 141,234, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Wednesday.
Despite an increase in new infections, 2,122 people who had previously tested positive for the virus in the Kingdom, have recovered raising the number of recoveries to 91,662.
thirty nine new deaths from the coronavirus were also announced by the ministry of health, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 10,91 so far.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health also said that 1,859 patients are in critical condition.
Nearly half of new cases were recorded in Riyadh where 2,371 new cases were announced.

The rate of infection of the novel Coronvirus is rising due to a lack of adherence with social distancing measures, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali said a few days before.
