24-hour curfew has been placed in 7 neighborhoods in the Jeddah

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday, that a 24-hour curfew has been placed in 7 neighborhoods in the Jeddah governorate to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The curfew will be effective as of 03:00 p.m. on Saturday, will apply to the following neighborhoods; Al-Mahjar, Ghulail, Al-Qurayyat, Kilo 14 South, Kilo 14 North, Kilo 13 and Petromin.

These measures are aimed at preventing anyone from entering or leaving these 7 areas all through the day.

But the people in mentioned neighborhoods will be allowed to leave their homes for urgent needs, such as health care and groceries, within their area during the period from 6 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saudi Arabia’s health ministry announced on Saturday 140 new cases of covid-19 infections in the country and four new deaths.
